Goat Rentals Operations Manager

Welcome WOOFFers

Welcome to Atlanta, WOOFFers! And to Red Wagon Goats – we rent goats for the management of invasive species. We also provide goats for animal-assisted therapies and community events. Check out our WOOFF profile.

  • 20–25 hours per week of assistance with daily animal chores, goat rental operations, and help with upkeep of grounds, home, farm and animals

  • 2 MONTH MINIMUM COMMITMENT
    (6+ Months is preferred)

  • Being generally handy and having a decent amount of physical strength is a must. Calling all energetic, self-starters!

  • Experience with livestock is a bonus, but not necessary – we will show you the ropes and teach you what you need to know

  • Help with driving is a huge added bonus, so please let us know if you have a good driving record and if you’re comfortable driving with a livestock trailer

adventure awaits

What we offer:

  • Room and board (please see photos on our profile). The room has a comfy double bed, a desk and chair, library shelves full of all sorts of books, a closet, mini fridge and microwave, and a private entrance/exit onto a screened in porch with a sofa and view of the woods. Shared bathroom in the hall (you’ll be the only person showering there, but it’s the only powder room on the main floor of the house.)

  • Combination of home cooked meals, provided groceries, and grocery stipend for you to have some of your own favorites on hand.

  • Opportunities for paid work outside of trade arrangement.

  • Contingent on good driving record and valid license, you may occasionally use the work truck for personal errands.

  • You may attend any of our public classes (yoga, sound baths, etc)

  • Space and culture that is intentionally inclusive of, and sensitive to needs of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC communities.

An eye on growth:

In the coming years, we are looking to expand into more opportunities for animal-assisted therapies, and to offer more therapeutic offerings at the farm.

We hope to eventually add bees and an apiary into the mix, expand our current chicken quarters, and to convert our woods from an area overrun with invasive species to a food forest inspired by the native ecosystems fostered by the indigenous peoples prior to colonization. If these efforts sound like they are up your alley, let’s talk!

Let’s work together.
