YEAR-ROUND, INCLUDING WINTER
PRIVET
REMOVAL
Why goats for privet?
Chinese privet is one of the goats’ favorite foods and one of the most widespread invasive shrubs in Georgia. It forms dense walls of understory along creeks, fence lines and wooded lots, crowding out native plants and hiding what’s on your property. Our herd clears it with no herbicides and no heavy equipment.
Winter special: Save 20% on rental fees December through February when you prebook with a 10% deposit. In winter we treat English ivy and other evergreen invasives like privet only. Prebook now >
What goats do (and don’t do)
Goats eat privet leaves and tender stems. They don’t eat the thick, woody trunks, but they will turn a dense wall of privet into open, navigable understory with clear sight lines. If you want the woody stems gone, our crew can cut and haul them during post-goat cleanup.
Stopping regrowth
Privet resprouts after a single grazing. With repeated visits from the goats, the plants run out of energy and stop coming back. Many customers book us once or twice a year, and our maintenance plans spread the cost across the year.
Why winter works for privet
Privet is evergreen in Atlanta, so it’s still green when the rest of your yard is dormant. That makes it, along with English ivy, one of the only plants we treat December through February.
